Delhi, one of the oldest cities in India is the capital of India and located at the heart of the country. Known as the 'Dilwalon Ka Sheher', the place is full of flavours and street food, fashion and shopping, monuments and temples, amongst others. Since times immemorial, Delhi has survived a lot of tribulations and today stands as one of the strongest places in India. All you need to know about Delhi, its food, clothes, places, tourist spots, weather and all is available here. Delhi is one of the most visited cities in India. Tourism in Delhi has reached heightened altitude due to its ancient monuments and temples found here. Ancient architectural beauties lay in the place such as Safdarjung's Tomb, Lal Qila, Rahim- Khane- Khanam Tomb, Humayun's Tomb, Rashtrapati Bhawan, Sultan Ghari's Tomb, Veerbhumi, Shakti Sthal, Ajmeri Gate, Sabz Burj/Neela Gumbad, Qutub Minar, Vijay Ghat, Purana Qila, Agrasen Ki Baoli, Jantar Mantar, Tomb of Bahlol Lodi, India Gate, Kotla Ferozabad, Tughluqabad Fort, Shanti Van, Coronation Memorial, Raj Ghat, Connaught Place. All of these wonderful constructions proudly sing of the glory and the victory of the city. Apart from the monumental structures, the city also boasts of some wonderful parks and places of fauna and flora such as Deer park, Asola bhatti Wildlife Sanctuary, Buddha jayanti park. Other than that there are recreational parks such as Shalimar garden and Nehru Park where people take walks and spend peaceful time along with friends and families. Apart from parks and monuments, Delhi is mushroomed with some wonderful holy worship places where pilgrims love to visit and worship God. Some of the temples worth mentioning are Gurudwara Sis Ganj, Lotus temple, ISKCON temple, Kalkaji temple, Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, Nizamuddin Dargah, Jama Masjid, Sacred Heart Cathedral/Church, St James Church, Lakshmi Narayan Temple amongst all others.

When we talk of places to visit in Delhi, right after ancient and historic monuments, the next thing that comes to mind is nothing but Delhi Markets! Delhi is heaven for shopaholics since it is an arena for shoppers ranging from lower class to lower middle class to the luxurious class. It has shops of the footpaths and roadsides and it also has branded high class international brands open for all classes of people. There are markets mushroomed everywhere around Delhi and every market has its own specialties and unique selling proposition. The weirdest part about shopping here is that, it is not only the tourists and visitors, who indulge in shopping like addicts, but also the locals. Inspite of being the habitants of the place, the people settled here cannot defy the attractive shopping delights that Delhi has to offer to all. Hence, it is practically a proven fact that Delhi is a 'shopper's heaven'. Some of the markets people can never ignore over here are Sarojini Nagar, Bengali Market, Darya Ganj market, Rajouri Garden Market, Central market of Lajpat Nagar, Khari Baoli, Jwala Heri Market, Chandni Chowk, Janpath, Khan Market, Kamla Nagar, Kirti Nagar, Lodhi Colony market, Nehru Place, Sadar Bazaar, Paharganj Market, Palika Bazaar,Kharak Singh Marg, Delli Haat, Greater Kailash, South Extension, Sundar Nagar, Tibetan Market, Karol Bagh. These are only a few to name, for on taking a proper tour around Delhi many other markets can be seen here and there. Inspite of going to all of them, people don't seem to have enough of them! Apart from the shoppers, the foodaholics also get to have a grand treat here since the range of food joints here is very high and easily available for the eaters. From roadside spicy food to branded food outlets, people can be seen crowding all the food hubs here. Street food is famous out here for items such as paani puri, chaat, chole bhature, chuski, etc. whereas McDonalds, KFC, Dominos, Nirulas, Pizza Huts, Café Coffee Days, etc. are also available for those who want.

Moving around Delhi is never a tough job for the communication facilities provided here is so efficient that people can easily move from one place to another without any worries and tension. Buses, auto rickshaws, rickshaws, taxi and metro communication is in service for the public to use. Metro is the most efficient and cheap mode of communication here and since its inception in Delhi it has been expanding from one corner to the other in Delhi. Apart from that Delhi is connected internationally as well, with the best air features and the railway communication is very effective as well to and from here.

Delhi is a city worth visiting and witnessing all that is here from food to place to monuments to markets. It is a huge city with a geographical area of 1,483 sq km and a place as huge as this needs time for exploration. With a little useful guide, Delhi trip can prove to be a memorable one with lot of memories to be treasured in the heart for a lifetime.
